USB Teeth Whitening Kit, Plugs into Your Phone

Ever since 2006 after my teeth were straightened with Invisalign braces, I’ve been whitening my teeth with various teeth bleaching gels and whitening strips. I had custom whitening trays made for gel whitening, but I ruined them. I put them over the top of whitening strips to keep them in place and it stretched them.

My favorite way to brighten my smile is to use teeth whitening pens. A couple of brands I’ve used are Dazzling White and Reach Essentials. Many people give them bad reviews, but it’s because they don’t use anything to keep the gel on the teeth, but I have a few secrets for using them.

1. Paint a thin layer of gel onto DRY teeth so it sticks better. I just do a big “super cheesy expose all my teeth grin” and suck in air through my teeth to dry them out. Then very quickly paint on the gel.
2. To keep the gel in place, I use my Invisalign aligners. You can use your fitted retainers, too.
3. Or you can have custom bleaching trays made by your dentist.  If you want to save some money you can order a kit from eBay to make your own custom whitening trays that fit your teeth perfectly.

A few years ago I saw a new device online. It was a USB blue-light mouthpiece for whitening. I have a hand-held one and it’s a pain to use. With the USB unit, you can plug it right into a phone charger, battery pack, or into your Android phone or iPhone. How slick is that! That’s my preferred go to bleaching system.
